Where the traditional bag is spun in natural fiber alone, the VERDI Mochila introduces copper, steel, and gold- and silver-plated threads — the same contrast that defines the studio's rugs and collectible works, now carried in the hand.

Made entirely by hand

Each Mochila is woven by the master artisans of VERDI's Bogotá atelier, the same hands behind our custom rugs and sculptural pieces. Working on manual techniques, they build the bag stitch by stitch in metal thread and fiber. The result is an object with weight and presence — a piece that reveals the hours of craft held within it.

A canvas for collaboration

The Mochila has also become a meeting point for VERDI and the designers it admires. A special-edition VERDI Mochila was co-designed with Colombian couturier Johanna Ortiz, handcrafted in silver-plated metal threads. These collaborations underline what the piece has become: not a souvenir, but a canvas for contemporary Colombian design at the highest level.
