Crafting Identity: Colombia as Inspiration
Colombia’s landscapes are expressive, layered, and full of energy — from dense tropical forests to coastal ecosystems and high-altitude páramos. This natural diversity shapes our perspective as a studio and informs the identity behind every VERDI creation.
Our Pineapple Weave is a direct interpretation of this environment. The weave draws from the overall exuberance of Colombian fauna and flora — the density, rhythm, and dimensionality that define the country’s natural world. Its sculptural surface reflects this vitality through a contemporary, material-led approach.

In our fashion line, the Pineapple Weave becomes a signature. It is the construction behind several of our mochilas and clutches, where its three-dimensional texture adds character, depth, and a distinct tactile presence. The intricate pattern interacts with light, enhancing the natural movement of metal threads as the pieces are worn.

Each piece is handwoven in our Bogotá atelier, translating the spirit of Colombian landscapes into an object meant to be carried. For VERDI, the Pineapple Weave represents how we transform our environment into design: not through literal imitation, but through structure, texture, and the slow, intentional process of handweaving. It is Colombia reinterpreted — vibrant, tactile, and unmistakably ours.
